The EGR Canceller is a device designed for motorsports or off-road use, which allows the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve to be removed without triggering a check engine light. It achieves this by sending a simulated signal to the PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) ECU to replicate normal EGR valve operation.
Key Benefits:
-
Prevents Carbon Buildup: By disabling the EGR system, hot exhaust gases are no longer recirculated into the intake, reducing internal carbon deposits, particularly on intake valves and ports.
-
Potential Performance Gain: Eliminating EGR can improve throttle response and combustion efficiency in performance setups, especially under high load or at wide open throttle where EGR flow is minimal or undesirable.
Included Components:
-
1× EGR Canceller Unit (signal simulator)
-
2× Vacuum line block-off caps
Note: If you plan to physically remove the EGR valve, you will need an optional EGR block-off plate, which is sold separately.
